Naeun once again has the Apink fandom divided. In 2021, she had shared that despite leaving Apink’s label IST Entertainment, then known as Play M, she would still be a part of the group. Fans all rallied behind her after she was excluded from group posters and schedules. However, there was hope when the label announced that the idol actress would be participating in Apink’s 11th anniversary special album ‘Horn’.

But the Apink fandom was torn when it was reported that Naeun would only be recording the album. It was announced that she would not be able to participate in any of the comeback activities as she was discussing a new acting project. Later on, an insider claimed that ‘Horn’ was in the works for a long time and she was initially a part of the promotional period. But due to Chorong’s bullying case, the comeback date was undecided. Naeun, unfortunately, came to know about the release date after she had already taken up the K-drama project.

Knetz think Naeun was lying about her schedule conflict

Pink Pandas (Apink’s fandom) were also touched when the insider claimed that her current label YG actually wanted Naeun to leave her group but she remained loyal to Apink. However, many are turning their back on her after a Knetizen made a suspicious post. Naeun’s last K-drama was ‘Ghost Doctor’ which had ended filming way before Apink’s comeback. Since then, she had not shared any posts about a new project on her social media. OP (original poster) claimed that YG or Naeun might have been lying about a new project so she could skip the comeback.

Some fans reasoned that the drama might be in its pre-production stage or that Naeun must not be allowed to share anything until news about the drama went public. Knetizens, however, believe that most productions have a fixed pattern and with Naeun’s schedule conflict being reported in January, three months had passed - a common time period for standard productions to start rolling out details about their K-drama like casting announcements, plot, and script-reading session photos.

'Her silence really doesn't help'

One Knetizen was angry that Naeun had allegedly blamed Chorong for the schedule conflict, “[She] said that it's because of Park Chorong's controversies that her work ended up overlapping with Apink's promotions so she had to drop out. But turns out, she's not even shooting a drama.” One user added, “Oh she's leaving the group soon…”

Another wondered why she was silent, “Honestly I've seen many of apink fans talking how distasteful they are towards Naeun. idk it's fair to just blame her but her silent really doesn't help. She should choose just one path if she really can't give both equal effort."

'This is not Naeun's fault'

But many tried to reason, “Don't you know how frequent dramas production get put on halt…You can just stop at the fact that she wasn't able to promote with the team this time, why must there be someone at fault?”

Another explained, “Who says when you take up a drama you start shooting right away? Everything from small details in regular dramas to historical dramas take a few months.”

One fan pointed out, “If she was really going to leave the group she wouldn’t have participated in the WHOLE album and the MV filming. “Fans” or “netzens” really don’t know anything. It’s been 11+ years, APINK will not do anything  that isn’t in the best interest of the group/pandas.”

Another added, “Damn maybe she just don’t wanna sing and go on variety shows, leave her alone.” One fan blamed her label, “Once again this is not naeun’s fault but yg’s do they have no brain ??”

Another wondered, “For all we know, YG might've been referring to Ghost Doctor, which was still filming until end of Jan/ early Feb. They might have taken into account the need for reshoots etc which could possibly extend filming until mid Feb.”
