'The Wrong Marriage' begins with Webb coming to Robin's residence and delivering her some distressing news. The meeting quickly escalates, with Webb shooting her. But hold on! The whole scene is just Robin's terrifying nightmare that she wakes up from in cold sweat. Even if it was only a dream, it was enough to cause the matriarch to call a family meeting. To keep Webb on his toes, Robin decides to send Sheldon (Michael Paré) to find out what he wants.

Meanwhile, Tara (Jasmine Aivaliotis) chooses to tell her sister, Pam (Arie Thompson), about her concerns about Eve (Dani Bryan), her alleged daughter. She also expresses concern that Eve may have been involved in Professor Richard's death. Tara chooses to take matters into her own hands by uncovering the truth about Eve since Pam refuses to believe that her long-lost daughter could do such a heinous act. Tara Jones travels over the pond to England to learn more about Eve, only to realize that the Eve they have in the Pacifics is an imposter. When she meets the real Eve, she learns about the imposter, who was Eve's roommate before she chose to go after the Joneses in the hopes of duping them.

On the other hand, William's (Marcos James) plan to retaliate against the Joneses appears to be working, as he has Carter (Sam Schweikert) refer Kayla (Shellie Sterling) to a therapist who works for him. As Kayla tells the therapist about her time with William and their daughter's death, the therapist manipulates her into seeing William again. She breaks up with Carter and chooses to meet with William, who craftily planned everything. Kayla, who is heartbroken, confides in William about their failed relationship but refuses to reconcile after what transpired between them.

The most shocking scene in the film comes when Sheldon meets Webb. What we perceive to be a Joneses-arranged meeting turns out to be much more. It is soon revealed that Sheldon has been working with Webb the entire time. The beloved family lawyer collaborated with the devil to destroy the Jones family. Webb and Sheldon are shown to be two sides of the same filthy coin, each with their own goal, and the Jones family is caught in the crossfire. Neither is afraid to go to any length to get what they want.

Pam Jones and Stephen Napoli (Shellie Sterling) are motivated by Webb's reappearance to move on from past wounds and explore their romantic impulses while trying to figure out what Webb wants. Stephen, being Stephen, also helps Pam in her investigation into the Professor's death. He also informs her of Sheldon's intentions for the family. Pam, on the other hand, refuses to believe that Sheldon and Webb are scheming to harm the family.

Meanwhile, Carrie (Ciarra Carter) and Lance's (Ciarra Carter) feud has reunited the latter with his father, Webb, but not all is as it looks. Recognizing how Webb could harm the family, the two devise a plan to have someone close to Webb work as an insider. Who better than the man's own kid to do so? The Joneses family seems pleased with the couple's plan because it means they will finally have an advantage over all Webb has planned against them.

Even though Leo Patricia (Eric Roberts) is in a coma, his absence is causing havoc for everyone. People are suspecting one another as a result of the unexpected attack on him. The police and the FBI are both conducting investigations in order to apprehend the bad guy. On one hand, the police are looking for a link between the Professor's death and the youngest Jones' sister, while the FBI is looking into the family in the Leo Patricia case.

When Webb eventually decides to come out of hiding and meet with Robin, she makes certain that every member of her family is present. Webb threatens her with going to the police and telling them everything about his sudden disappearance unless she agrees to give him his share of the business. Robin agrees to think about it if Webb stays away from her house. Webb decides to speak with the press and put on a show for them in order to persuade people that he and Robin are still together and that she had nothing to do with his disappearance.

Tara comes straight to Robin after returning from England with the newly discovered facts about Eve. The next day, as she intends to tell Pam the truth, she is kidnapped from the driveway by the imposter. Pam receives an unexpected gift at the office when the entire family is present! Along with a pen drive featuring footage of imposter Eve keeping Tara captive, the box included a fingernail plucked from Tara's finger as a warning about what she could do if she didn't get what she wanted. She warns the Joneses that she is only after their money and would not hesitate to do anything heinous if they alerted the police. When Robin calls Sheldon for help, it is shown that he is also working with the imposter Eve!

The Joneses' situation appears to be rapidly deteriorating. The last chapter, which will be released next week, will have a lot to unpack. Even while many threads appeared to connect in this chapter, many questions remain unanswered. Viewers have yet to learn why Sheldon has been assisting imposter Eve a.k.a. Alice K. in hurting the Jones family. Kayla and William's dynamic is completely toxic, as the former proceeds down the path to oblivion. It may be difficult for the franchise to wrap up all of this in the final volume, but given their track record, they can and will! Given that he has directed every film in the 'Keeping Up With the Joneses' franchise, director David DeCoteau's skills and Adam's vision were critical in maintaining a constant narrative of the overall series.

'Keeping Up With the Joneses: The Wrong Inside Man' premieres on LMN on Friday, July 29 at 8/7c.
