After proudly admitting 'I hope it's a girl' in one of her recent performances, Katy Perry's dreams have finally come true.

The singer is expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom and on Friday she took to Instagram to share a photo from what looks like their baby's gender reveal. The shot sees Bloom sporting a giant grin with his face covered n what looks like shaving cream, but it's pink! Captioning the photo, Perry announced, "It's a girl" within two pink heart emojis.

The 'Roar' singer's dreams have truly come true, shortly after telling her fans at a Melbourne, Australia, concert on International Women's Day back in March this year that she was hoping her baby was a girl. This is Perry's first child, while Bloom is already father to nine-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with his supermodel ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight last month a source told the outlet that Perry, 35,  is "over the moon" about her pregnancy, revealing that starting a family has "always been a dream for her". "Katy's priority has always been a lifetime partner and building a family and future together. That's why she hasn't rushed to the altar," the source told the outlet. "She has wanted this for so long and just wants to do it right. She’s been eating a clean diet, exercising and reading everything she can about her growing baby and how to make the best choices for her body and the baby."

Perry and Bloom, 43, have already postponed their Japan wedding amid Coronavirus concerns. As of now, Perry is at home in the United States, and Bloom is with her too, after she cut her Australia trip short. "She came home from Australia, canceled public appearances and just wants to be home with Orlando who also has time off because of the virus," the source told ET adding: "This pandemic has changed everything and she will put her baby's health first. She is going to take this time at home to plan her nursery."
