EXO Jongdae aka Chen has been on a hiatus since he announced enlisting for the military after marrying a non-celebrity person in 2020. As EXO-Ls wait for him to finish military service, any update about Chen creates a social media trend as fans lap up any information they can get about the band member. 

According to the latest fan post, EXO Chen was recently spotted in a mall with his wife and baby, hiding his face with a bucket hat and sporting the bald cut which is mandatory for military service. Chen welcomed his first child on April 29, 2020 months after announcing their engagement. The singer started his military service in October 2020 and will be back by tentatively April 2022.

Where is EXO Jongdae now?

According to the reports, EXO Chen will be finishing his military by April 2022, which means he will be home for his son's second birthday. On May 29, fans spotted a social media user who claimed to have spotted Chen in a mall. The excited user posted, "I MET CHENNNNNNN GUYS FREAKING KIM JONGDAEEEEEEEE!" Followed by a series of tweets where the user revealed, "NOT JUST CHEN BUT HIS FAM!!! I GOT TO SEE BABY CHEN!" The user gushed, "I MET HIM IN A MALL IN APGUJEONGRODEO!! GOING FOR MY SHOPPING AND BAAAAAMMM SAW THIS FAM AND THE DAD WAS HOLDING A BABY ON HIS ARM AND WIFE HOLDING THE STROLLER!!" and added, "AND AS SOON I SAW THE DAD!! ITS CHEN!!! HE WORE BUCKET HAT OFCOURSE HE WAS BALD INSIDE AND GUESS WHAT MAKES ME SURE ITS REALLY CHEN?" The user confidently claimed, "HE SUDDENLY LAUGHED WITH HIS WIFE!! AS AN EXOL, YKNOW HOW CHEN LAUGHS RIGHT?"

Chen is living 'the dream' life

The user also added, "HIS BABY IS SO FREAKING CUTE!!!! GOT THE FACE OF HIS DAD THE WAY HE HOLDS THE BABY ON HIS CHEST!!" The revelation made EXO-Ls happy as they started swooning over EXO Chen living the ultimate dream life. A fan posted, "My boi finally living his dream life. Kim Jongdae you deserve that happiness." Another added, "Jongdae is holding his child while his wife holding the stroller and then Jongdae smiling to his wife. THAT IS A DREAM. Jongdae is living in that dream. Great things comes to great people. This is the most fulfilling a fan could ever feel IM CRYING IM SORRY!"
