K-drama actress Park Minyoung ONLY dated CEO Kang, not involved in his 'shady' business

There have been reports that Minyoung's alleged ex-boyfriend CEO Kang was involved in fraud and was even sentenced for it

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: On September 28, the K-drama fandom was shocked as it was reported that actress Park Minyoung was dating CEO Kang Jong-hyun. Korean media outlet Dispatch leaked photos that they claimed were of the couple. This led to the internet unearthing who the man was and coming up with reports that CEO Kang was involved in shady businesses like that of Seungri's Burning Sun club and Artist Company, home to several popular K-drama actors. Reports also came in that Minyoung and her sister were involved in Kang's business.

Many think that the whole exposé is a conspiracy to mar Park Minyoung's popular K-drama 'Love In Contract'. This argument has further been strengthened as the involved acting agencies have finally spoken up to address the rumors. Artist Company, home to Lee Jung-jae of 'Squid Game' fame, shared that their ex-president Kim Jae-wook, who is involved in the allegedly fraudulent companies with CEO Kang like Vidente and Bucket Studio, withdrew as president in 2018. None of their artists are involved in these companies. Another report also states that Park Minyoung did date CEO Kang but that was it.

Park Minyoung seems to have indeed dated CEO Kang

We first had Lee Jung-jae's label saying, "Artist Company and all artists within the agency learned of chairman Kang Jong-hyun's affiliation with Vidente Co. and Bucket Studio through the recent news reports." A few hours later, another report has come in on September 29 that revealed that the K-drama actress did date CEO Kang but they had already broken up. Apparently, Park Minyoung was never involved in any of his business nor did she accept huge amounts of money from him.

With the CEO reportedly being investigated in 2013 and 2014 for fraud and getting sentenced to 3 years of probation, the internet also unearthed that Minyoung's sister was an outsider director of one of his companies. To this, the label also added that they had no clue and that she would be resigning immediately.

'Shady AF'

With Lee Jung-jae's label denying his involvement in the scandal and Park Minyoung's label clarifying the dating rumor, fans hope that the commotion dies down. One fan tweeted, "Bruh.. this guy minyoung is dating is shady af." Another fan wondered, "First, the DUI incident resurfaced + violence against women. Now, this shady business. Someone behind the scene is trying to get to Lee Jung Jae. That's the real tea. This isn't about Park Minyoung at all." One speculated, "There was an article in naver stating that minyoung's sister is somewhat connected to kang, so i think MY got involved because of her sister, some pictures of dispatch is not MY And based on my own understanding my's sister and ceo k are the ones who are in a relationship."
