Scott Snyder's cosmic, omniverse-changing run on 'Justice League' is coming to a close with the finale of the Justice/Doom War. The Justice League has banded together to defeat Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom, but they still have their multiversal creator, Perpetua, to deal with.

The current run on 'Justice League' began in 2018 in the wake of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's 'Dark Knights: Metal' event. The end of that series saw the Justice League pierce the Source Wall, and the League has been dealing with the consequences ever since.

One of the most significant things to have happened with the breaching of the Source Wall is the reawakening of the multiverse's malevolent creator — Perpetua, mother to the Monitor, the Anti-Monitor and the Forger of Worlds.

Lex Luthor has been leading the universe's villains towards Doom. Doom nearly won out, but the combined might of the Justice Leagues of different eras united to save the day.

Now, in the aftermath of the Justice/Doom War, the League finds themselves stranded at the far side of the universe. You can read the solicit below:

"In the wake of the Justice/Doom War, the Justice League finds themselves stranded at the far end of the universe and facing a challenge they’ve never faced before. But what will they find on their journey?"

"Has their battle with Perpetua had consequences reaching farther across the cosmos than they ever imagined? Superstar scribe Scott Snyder says farewell to the Justice League with a special story that both winds down all the things he started in issue #1 — and nods toward everything that comes next in the DC Universe."

A preview for the issue can be found here, featuring the return of the Martian Manhunter just in time for the League to face down Perpetua as she tries to create a universe dedicated to the service of Doom.

DC Nation has released a panel from the preview, featuring one of the series' most shocking moments of all — an apologetic Lex Luthor.
