'Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer': Fans slam Carolyn for evading questions about ex

Kurt took Carolyn out on a date to talk about her ex and their situation but got no clear answers from her

For Kurt and Steven, the bachelors on 'Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer', it is important for them to find and make the right connections, as they hope to end up with a woman they can build a life with. As the numbers dwindle with each passing episode, it all boils down to the kind of conversations they have throughout the show.

However, fortunately, or unfortunately, Kurt and Carolyn had a strong connection right from the get-go. And while he was glad to have built that bond, Carolyn has actively discouraged him from getting to know other women (even though she has said otherwise). This week, Kurt picked Carolyn to go on a date for a very specific reason, he felt they needed to talk about her past, her ex, to know where their future stands.

Seeing that Carolyn is a single mom who shares custody with her ex-husband, Kurt wanted to address the nature of their relationship further in order to fully understand what he was getting into and how their situation would affect his relationship with her. However, while the date was romantic and all that, Carolyn seemed to give him no real answers at all.

Fans were on Kurt's side and wondered why Carolyn evaded the questions.
"Ion think Kurt is genuine w Carolyn idk…she’s more of his fairytale experience to me…we shall see #JoeMillionaire" tweeted a fan. "Carolyn has @Sir_Kurt under her spell! #JoeMillionaire" said another. "Im starting to think Kurt likes toxic behavior cause dude. #JoeMillionaire" tweeted a fan. "Kurt is worried about the ex and not so much Carolyn being a mom or having a child? Just the Ex. #JoeMillionaire" wondered a fan. "I don’t think his questions about how he’ll navigate a situation he’s probably never been in is insecurity based.. he just has valid questions & concerns. And not fully hearing him is minimizing his feelings tbh #JoeMillionaire" added another. "#JoeMillionaire Carolyn is manipulative. How can being with her be any safer than the other women. She has a kid and an ex husband. Life will be more complicated." noted another. 

However, some fans think that the villain edit isn't enough to take away from the fact that Kurt and Carolyn are actually meant to be together. "If I don't see Kurt and Carolyn ride off into the sunset at the end of the season there's no such thing as true love #JoeMillionaire" said a fan. "Not them trying so hard to make Carolyn look like the villain in these cuts it’s obvious that Kurt and her belong together. #JoeMillionaire" added another.
