'The Bachelor' Season 26: Clayton called 'idiot' for saving Shanae despite her drama

'This man is a straight up idiot. Take Shanae in front of the entire house and air that sh*t out!' tweeted a fed-up fan.

The saying often goes -- Love is blind, and it looks like Season 26 of 'The Bachelor' is determined to prove just that. Despite everything that has happened between the women, Clayton seems to be looking in the other direction.

With last week's winning team upset over Shanae's drama, Clayton had no choice but to address it. However, as always, Shanae managed to cry herself out of the situation, and Clayton seems to be thoroughly under her spell.

Shanae made it seem like she acted out of anger and regretted her behavior and even went as far as to apologize to the ladies about the same. However, during her confessionals, Shanae bragged about how she deserves an award for acting skills, seeing that everyone had bought her excuse. Therefore, it almost felt like salt in a wound when Clayton eliminated Serene, Jill, and Lyndsey while saving Shanae again.

Fans were thoroughly exasperated with Shanae's behavior and the fact that Clayton was conveniently ignoring it. "So SEVEN women confront you and you still keep her for a 2 on 1? Head ass… #TheBachelor" tweeted a fan. "Clayton is just thinking with his penis at this point. #TheBachelor" declared a fan. "Me watching shanae lie her way out of this one #TheBachelor" added another. "This man is a straight up idiot. Take Shanae in front of the entire house and air that shit out! It's not that difficult to get to the truth if you are actually TRUELY interested in finding it. #TheBachelor" tweeted a fan. "Honestly Clayton and Shanae deserve each other.. give the rest of the girls a do over with a new Bachelor #Bachelor #TheBachelor #TheBachelorABC" demanded a fan.

"Clayton apologized via social media for allowing Shanae to ruin the house, noting that he wasn't truly aware of everything going on. But yet, he was specifically told that she cussed at the girls and threw the trophy. And then let her stay. I lost respect for him. #TheBachelor" noted a fan. "Send. Shanae. Packing! She's that snot-nosed, narcissistic, b*tchy brat who manipulates her way through every-damn-thing and honestly needs to be knocked down off her broom, doused with water and then melt away like a bad wicked witch does! #TheBachelor #TheBachelorABC #Bachelor" tweeted a fan.

Catch 'The Bachelor' Season 26 on ABC on Mondays, at 8 pm EST.
