In episode 10, titled 'Torrential Downpour Warning', Enrico Pucci's motives for hunting down the Joestar family is revealed -- as a disciple of DIO, the Joestar families sworn enemy, Pucci believes that DIO found a way to go to heaven. However, after Jotaro defeated him back in Egypt, he went on to burn the notebook in which DIO recorded the method to go to heaven. Having been the only one to read it before destroying it, Jotaro was now the only person in the world who possessed this information. Using his Stand, Whitesnake, Pucci extracted Jotaro's memories and his Stand from him.
Jolyne, who never had a great relationship with her father, realised that someone was terrorising the prison. To retrieve Jotaro's memories and Stand, she begins to take on Pucci without ever knowing his identity, as he never reveals himself and has Whitesnake or others carry out his dirty work. After successfully retrieving Jotaro's Stand disc, where Star Platinum is trapped. Jolyne encounters Pucci as she is on the run to transport the disc. While she begs him to let her go, he agrees, as she is unaware he is the actual threat. Jolyne escapes to the courtyard in time, only to be shot by a guard under Pucci's influence. Jolyne nearly bleeds to death; however, Weather Forecast, determined to help her, uses his powers to make it rain down poison dart frogs, a highly toxic species of frogs.
Pucci's life is now on the line as he is also trapped under the downpour. He ends up injuring a guard in an attempt to get out, as the poison dart frog rain finally stops. He then ends Whitensake to retrieve the Star Platinum disc and ensure that Jolyne is dead. Jolyne appears to be covered in a pile of poison dart frogs, implying that she didn't survive. But just as Whitesnake locates the disc, Jolyne reveals that she used her Stand, Stone Free, to create a net of the alive frogs to prevent her from getting coated in the poison.
Still deeply injured, she uses Stone Free to snatch up the disc and send it to the Speedwagon Foundation's carrier, a pigeon named Savage Guardian. The Speedwagon Foundation, which has helped the Joestars for generations, would ensure that Jotaro got his Stand back in an attempt to revive him. While Whitesnake tries to kill Jolyne, the other guards and prisoners soon gather. Whitesnake retreats as Jolyne is now more determined than ever to find out who the user behind this Stand is to end him. Meanwhile, Pucci holds on to the fact that as long as he has the disc containing Jotaro's memories, he can finally avenge DIO and achieve his plan of seeing heaven.
'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure STONE OCEAN' premieres on December 1, 2021, on Netflix.
