DC Chief Creative Officer-Publisher Jim Lee has finally broken his silence on the future of the ‘Snyderverse’ in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The movies 'Aquaman 3' and ‘The Flash’ are the only movies that will be released from the franchise.

In a recent appearance at the SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) 2022 panel, Lee finally spoke up about his involvement in the DCEU movies. When a fan asked him whether he has plans of working with director Zack Snyder, Lee denied it and shared that he has "no plans" to continue the ‘Snyderverse'.

Opening up on the same, Jim Lee shared, “You know what's amazing, is we spent two years in lockdown, and here we are back at a convention, celebrating the art form, feeling good. I work on the projects that are in development, right? I think the Snyder Cut was Zack's vision realized, and it was a really satisfying story told, but there's no plans for additional work on that material. I was happy to help contribute to the pitch for the other stuff, and it kind of was fun to see that stuff get out there because I did that years ago. I actually thought it had been erased, but they had kept it in storage.”

A video clip of this same interview had been uploaded by an account called @themarvelmaniac which has been going viral on Twitter.

As soon as Lee confirmed the news, many fans took to social media to give their views on the same. “DCEU’s future looking bright for once,” said a fan. “I’m fine with this,” another fan noted. “Exactly what we need to hear. Thank you Jim Lee,” added another fan.

“Good riddance. Terrible universe to begin with. Love the highlights it had though,” said another fan. “DCEU can become better now. No more nonsense,” added a fan. “Perhaps this means a new director will be handling Superman's future in DC films. I honestly prefer someone new as despite Synder's direction, I don't think he truly understood Superman & what he stands for. I think Brad Bird or Matthew Vaughan would be perfect to direct Superman,” mused a fan.

“This should be the last nail in the coffin to the Snyder cult. MOVE ON!” said another fan. “Why do you want film universes anyway? Why would you want one vision of your favorite funnybook characters that lasts for a dozen years? Do you actually enjoy Disney & Warner Bros. selling you an eternity of blue balls in a singular house style?” a fan noted.

“This has been clear for a while but now we have proper confirmation,” mentioned a fan. “GOOD. And bless Jim Lee for inevitably taking the heat from all of the insane and deranged fake fans all over the place,” a fan added.
