J-hope's solo debut to finally get physical album, BTS fan say 'need Jack in the Box vinyl'

BTS fans were first upset that J-hope’s solo debut would not be getting a physical album. HYBE shared that for ‘Jack in the Box’, they would be releasing a digital Weverse album where fans could download it on the Weverse Album app while they would only ship the photocards and posters. They claimed it was a new eco-friendly project to reduce their carbon footprint. Fans had slammed the hypocrisy by pointing out the several physical album versions their other artists were getting and their new NFT project. 

With the digital version of the album, ARMY could also not help much with Billboard charting and alleged that HYBE was sabotaging J-hope’s solo debut. Despite the odds, BTS fans had ‘Jack in the Box’ debut at #17 on Billboard 200. Well, on August 8, it seems that HYBE has finally heard fans' wishes and announced a physical album version of ‘Jack in the Box’. J-hope’s solo debut album will be getting a limited edition vinyl. The exclusive physical version will only be manufactured after receiving the total pre-orders and they will not be entertaining additional orders after the initial order.

‘Jack in the box’ to get limited edition vinyl

This exclusive vinyl edition has fans scrambling to pre-order the ‘no-skip album’. BTS fans can start pre-ordering from August 8 at 10 am KST (August 7 at 9 pm ET) through offline and online stores like Weverse Shop. However, fans may have to wait before they can get their copies as J-hope’s vinyl albums will be manufactured after the pre-order period. The release date will vary from country to country with the first release date being December 12. The exact release dates for each country will be announced in late November. The vinyl is already sold out on Weverse Shop USA.

‘Ready to go to war’

Well, fans are more than ready to go to war for the limited edition vinyl version. With the rumor that there are only 300 copies being made, an ARMY joked, “I’m ready to go to war for that vinyl.” Another tweeted, “Yo i need this jack in the box vinyl album like i need air to live.” One fan wrote, “Celebrating Jack In the Box Vinyl pre order like we landed on the moon exactly.” Another ARMY posted, “The way I’m buying that Jack In The Box vinyl even though I don’t collect vinyls.”

One shared, “DO YOU UNDERSTAND ITS NOT ENOUGH TO HAVE JACK IN THE BOX I NEED JACK ON THE VINYL SPINNING IN MY ROOM IN THE OPEN AIR WITH THE WINDOWS OPEN AND THE BIRDS SINGING OUTSIDE AND THE WORLD HEALING—.” Another fan said, “I can’t wait until 2067 when i walk my old ass to the basement to show my grandkids my jack in the box bad bitch edition j-hope vinyl and say “back in my day”.” One ARMY added, “Am I gonna pay my bills or get the jack in the box vinyl?…”
