'The Masked Singer' season 2: Fans are convinced J-Hope from BTS is behind the egg mask
The second season for 'The Masked Singer' dropped on September 25 and the audience is already excited to find out who are the faces hidden behind the masks. While there is still a long wait until we come to know who these celebrities are, fans are convinced that one of the contestants is J-Hope, rapper, sub-vocalist, and the main dancer of the K-Pop group BTS. Recently, 'The Masked Singer' shared a video of a singer in an egg mask on their social media page and people were quick to assume that there are chances the face behind the mask is none other than J-Hope.
"Who is #EggMask?! Get your guesses ready for Season 2 of # TheMaskedSinger, premiering next Wednesday, September 25 at 8/7c on @foxtv," read the tweet. Fans were convinced at the possibility of J-Hope being the masked singer because of his recent appearance in LA. The singer was spotted without his band members in LA at the same time when the 'The Masked Singer' shooting was taking place.
Even though many related his LA visit to a possible collab with singer Becky G, others thought that J-Hope could have done both. Fans grew even more suspicious when the account of 'The Masked Singer' tweeted “Expect the unexpected”.
Reading the tweet BTS army became excited and speculations soon started pouring in. "hoseok sweetheart, it’s okay you can take off your egg mask.. we’ll accept you regardless don’t try to hide," one fan tweeted, while another added, ".... ok but think about it: hoseok taking off that hideous egg mask and standing on stage with the long-ass white coat like the king he is."
Another user echoed similar thoughts and noted, "army currently analyzing the pixels of this GIF, comparing hoseok’s legs with egg mask and having an educational hypothesis claiming that hoseok = eggmask."
However, there were others who made counter-arguments about why J-Hope was not the man in the egg mask. "No offense but y’all are dumb for thinking hoseok is gonna be on the masked singer ... y’all really think they would let a Korean man that isn’t fluent in English on a show on FOX NETWORK??! I have to laugh," one user noted. Another added, "why would hoseok go on the masked singer in the US when he can just go on the masked singer in Korea???" Looks like people will just have to watch the show to find out of the egg mask participant is J-Hope or not.
