With artists from EXO like Kai dating Blackpink’s Jennie for a while in the past as well as K-pop’s now-engaged ‘it-couple’ soloists like HyunA and Dawn, more artists are opening up to dating other idols. With that being said, now fans are growing much more scrutinous about idols which is why everything they overanalyze, making fans jump to insane conclusions. Stray Kids’ Hyunjin was embroiled in a dating controversy with aespa’s Karina when it was rumored that his phone’s lock screen was a photo of Karina.

So is the case with ITZY’s Yuna and Enhypen’s Jay, who both posted pictures of themselves enjoying world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay’s burger. With the two idols posting photos from the same location, K-pop fans started blowing the incident out of proportion, alleging that the duo visited the burger joint together, and claimed that the two were dating. This was reason enough for both idols to take it upon themselves and to clear all allegations in the most professional way possible.

Yuna and Jay's alleged burger date

It is a well-known fact that many K-pop agencies in the past held dating bans on their artists and the idols were contractually forbidden from dating for years altogether but now that seems to be easing up as many K-pop idols seem to be in relationships openly. On March 9, ITZY’s Yuna posted a photo of herself enjoying the Gordon Ramsay burger which led fans to link her with Enhypen’s Jay who had also posted a photo of the same burger a day prior.

As soon as the dating rumors started blowing up, Yuna did what fans had expected her to do and told fans the entire story behind her eating the burger. Yuna shared photos of herself enjoying the burger with her old friend where fans could see that she was with another woman and not Jay. Jay on the other hand also addressed the rumor during his live stream, telling fans how he visited the burger joint with his dad.

'They both debunked the dating rumor'

Fans started complimenting both idols for taking the responsibility and shutting down the dating rumor promptly as one fan said, "Ok but the way yuna and jay went on their way to clear up the dating rumors themselves. must’ve been awkward since they’re classmates too dhdhjdhdhd."
