Is 'The Villianess is a Marionette' getting a K-drama? Astro's Eunwoo and Han Sohee turn into royalty for Webtoon (Kakao Webtoon)

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Eunwoo and Han Sohee of Astro have collaborated with Kakao for a visually appealing trailer for webtoon 'The Villainess Is A Marionette'. The Korean animated cartoon series has gained immense popularity in recent years. This has led to many Korean stars taking part in it. BTS' Chakho is a prime example. However, this could not become a possibility in this case. Reports suggest that the released trailer is only a part of the promotion for the webtoon. This potentially means that the much anticipated K-drama is sadly not in the making.

Is a K-drama featuring Eunwoo and Han Sohee in the making?

The trailer release for the webtoon sent the internet speculating if a K-drama is in production. While the Astro duo Eunwoo and Han Sohee appear as the perfect picks for the roles, it becomes clear that Kakao Webtoon is currently running an ad campaign where they cast Korean stars as the face of the manhwa. And the project is only for promotional purposes. Thus, the two will not be starring in a K-drama and are only posing as the personas of the two main characters from the webtoon.
