HBO's 'The Chair Company' finale raised more questions after episode 8, 'Minnie Mouse Coming Back Wasn’t On My Bingo Card' aired earlier. The series ended with the twist likely revealing the mastermind behind the faulty chairs conspiracy that Ron (Tim Robinson) has been investigating. Following the explosive finale, there were some questions that were raised. And one of them was about the future of the show.

Before focusing on the threads that need tying up, it's good news in the offing for the show's fans as the network renewed 'The Chair Company' for season 2. The announcement comes following the show's success in its debut season. Per reports, the series was HBO's most-watched comedy series in over five years. It averaged well over 1.4 million cross-platform viewers in the US across its first three days of its premiere.

With the finale done, some of the storylines of key characters come into play. Per TV Insider, Mike (Joseph Tudisco) is one of the characters with screentime in the finale. Last seen, he was taken hostage, seemingly adding to his and Ron's investigation. The outlet also weighed in on Stacy Crystals, posing the question of why the character was targeted. Throw in Amanda's mind-control abilities, Ron's ordeal in the woods, and the mastermind of the scam, and there's enough to answer.

Earlier, Lake Bell, who plays Ron's wife, Barb, on the show, spoke about working with Robinson to the New York Post. "Being that force of constant for him and for the wackiness of what’s around – I think that’s part of the balance of how this whole tone works," the star explained of her co-star Robinson. She added the simple scenes involving the duo were a challenge."[It can] be 'really hard to keep a straight face,'" she said. "And he’s got to either check his phone, or he’s fussing about something. And the director, Andrew DeYoung, will allow Tim to do different levels of Tim, and different levels of Ron’s inner torment."

Talking about season 2,  “I can’t reveal anything, but I think what people really respond to is the fact that it is so unexpected and that while it’s very relatable and accessible – this is a family that you could see anywhere  – and yet, there are things behind the curtain that allow for this anxious hilarity to ensue," Bell added.

All episodes of 'The Chair Company' can be streamed on HBO Max.
