Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are once again scrambling to contain spoilers as another high-profile leak makes its way online. This time, it’s tied to ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ the 2026 film slated to arrive before ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ As per Cosmic Book News, Disney is already dealing with the fallout from multiple leaked ‘Doomsday’ teasers, including footage hinting at the return of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and a separate look at Thor. And now, a low-quality video has begun circulating across social media that appears to show an unfinished trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’

The footage is extremely rough, seemingly recorded off a private screener platform where recording is explicitly forbidden. While the visuals are barely legible, fans have managed to extract and piece together much of the audio. In one of the most widely shared lines, Peter introduces himself to someone who no longer remembers him, saying: “Hi. My name is Peter Parker. You don't remember me, but we knew each other. Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it... was to make everyone forget about me. I'm not just Peter Parker. I'm... Spider-Man. And sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard part, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart,” as quoted by Forbes.

The biggest shock, however, comes from Sadie Sink’s long-teased mystery role. Based on the leaked audio, Sink’s character appears to be positioned as a villain or, at minimum, a rival. Her warning to Spider-Man is blunt and threatening: “You're a mess, Spider-Man. Don't get in my way. Otherwise, it won't just be your friends who don't remember who Peter Parker is.” That single line has thrown nearly every fan theory into chaos. Prior speculation had Sink playing characters such as Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, Black Cat, or even a heroic Marvel crossover figure. A villainous turn makes most of those guesses difficult, if not impossible, to square with what’s being teased here.

Other familiar voices also seem to surface throughout the audio. The dialogue believed to belong to Tombstone is: “Spiders have three life cycles. And between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. Those spiders that survive … goes through a kind of rebirth.” The trailer also appears to confirm Bruce Banner’s presence, with Peter seeking his help and receiving a dry response: “You’re not one of my students, are you?” One of the most crowd-pleasing moments, if the audio is to be believed, comes from an unexpected ally arriving mid-crisis. When Peter reacts with surprise, “Wait, what are you doing here?!” the response is pure Frank Castle: “Saving your a*s, can’t you see?!”

The Punisher, Tombstone, and Bruce Banner were all previously rumored to appear, but Sink’s apparent antagonist role has reignited speculation about her character’s true identity. Some fans are now floating more obscure possibilities, including Shathra, a cosmic “Wasp-Goddess” from 'Spider-Man' lore. That theory, however, clashes with earlier expectations that ‘Brand New Day’ would pull Spider-Man back to a more grounded, street-level world. What’s clear is that Sony is taking the leak seriously. Trailer clips are already being hit with copyright strikes, and multiple industry insiders have backed up claims that the footage is real.
