Sadie Sink's character on 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is one shrouded in mystery. Since news of her casting for the upcoming MCU film, there have been speculations about who she plays in the movie. In her latest interview, the 'Stranger Things' star had a rather coy response when addressing character rumors.

When asked more about 'Brand New Day', Sink, who was previously spotted in the set photos, told EW, "Tom can wave at the fans because people know who he is, but then you get a glimpse of me, and I'm like a penguin. That'll be the situation for a bit, it seems". She further added, "People will just have to wait and see. I'm excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest."

Earlier, rumors of her playing mutant Jean Grey did the rounds, to which Sink remarked, "A lot of people forget that hair color can change, but, yeah, I understand all of the theories. That was happening before I even knew that I would be working on this project. I was like, ‘Wait! What are people talking about?" In addition to Grey, fans have also theorized whether she was playing Rachel Cole-Alves, the Punisher's ally.

Her comments come on the back of news that she was also cast in 'Avengers: Secret Wars'. A Deadline report read, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open on July 31. There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly, I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next Avengers picture that shoots here in London later in 2026."

On her part, Sink had last spoken about her maiden Marvel appearance during the premiere of 'Stranger Things' Season 5. "I thought this was the Stranger Things premiere. I wasn't prepared," she said, while further adding, "No. No. I have enough secrets," she said with a laugh.

The cast includes returning favorites Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson. Jon Bernthal returns as The Punisher, while Mark Ruffalo makes a comeback as Bruce Banner/Hulk in his first major role since ‘She-Hulk. All eyes will now be on Sink's character, Max, in the final season of 'Stranger Things'. The much-awaited Netflix 80s horror blockbuster releases November 26 with Vol. 1 on Netlix with the finale on New Year's Eve.
