Marvel is dropping 4 different ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailers and only one movie will let you see them all

Marvel is quietly setting the stage for its next ‘Avengers’ event and the first wave of ‘Doomsday’ hype is about to hit theaters in a very unexpected way.

Marvel Studios is preparing to unleash what could be its most aggressive promotional campaign yet as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ moves within striking distance of its theatrical debut. With the film now roughly a year away from hitting cinemas, Disney is gearing up to market the next Avengers event on a scale that matches its enormous stakes. And audiences will soon notice that strategy in a very unexpected place. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe approaches the final stretch of the Multiverse Saga, the studio is shifting into high gear. Only a small number of MCU films remain before the saga reaches its climax, and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ sits at the center of that conclusion. 

Rather than relying on a single teaser to kick things off, Marvel is opting for a layered rollout designed to keep excitement steadily building over several weeks. Multiple trailers for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are set to play exclusively in theaters ahead of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ as per ScreenRant. Instead of one standard preview, moviegoers will reportedly see a rotating selection of different trailers, with each version screening for a limited time before being swapped out for another. This approach allows Marvel to tease different aspects of the story without revealing everything at once. The timing of this rollout is no coincidence.

The debut of the first trailer aligns with the symbolic one-year countdown to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arriving on the big screen. The studio has been laying the groundwork for months. While Marvel has remained secretive about plot specifics, it has gradually offered fans carefully chosen breadcrumbs. Team lineups have been teased, new suits have been hinted at, and speculation has been encouraged without ever crossing into full spoiler territory. Even the announcement that ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will return to theaters in 2026 appears to be part of a broader strategy. Pairing ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ marketing with ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ is a calculated move on Disney’s part.

Both franchises represent the studio’s biggest global box-office powerhouses, and placing Marvel’s next team-up film in front of James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel ensures maximum exposure. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to tackle some of the most ambitious storytelling the MCU has attempted, including the introduction of Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. in a surprising return to the franchise. Rather than spelling out the plot, Marvel appears intent on fueling theories, debates, and speculation. Of course, every answer is likely to spark new mysteries, keeping fans talking until the film finally arrives.

Behind the camera, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ also marks a reunion. Anthony and Joe Russo are returning to direct, reuniting with Marvel after previously helming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Production on ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is still not entirely finished. Additional photography is scheduled for spring 2026, with filming on ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ set to follow in the summer. The two films are closely linked, serving as back-to-back events that will close out Phase 6 and bring the Multiverse Saga to its conclusion. Also, Just Jared reports that ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ opens December 18, with the next ‘Avengers’ film following a year later on December 18, 2026.
