Is Kim Lip OK? Loona member walks off mid-concert in tears, fans say 'Orbits' fault'

Orbits attending the world tour concerts claim that a bunch of fans have been constantly shouting and interrupting Kim Lip when she tries to speak

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Girl group Loona is finally on their first world tour ‘LoonaTheWorld’. There were several obstacles from rumors that their label was going bankrupt to member Chuu not being able to attend the world tour. However, the world tour has finally kicked off with Loona holding a concert in Chicago. Unfortunately, we had member Kim Lip walking off stage mid-concert apparently in tears. While Orbits (Loona’s fandom) cheered for her return, Haseul informed the audience that she would not be returning. 

Later on, the organizers explained that she would also not be attending the meet and greet that will take place at the end of the concert. There was much confusion as MyMusicTaste said that Kim Lip had taken a break for her health which had K-pop Twitter sending her well-wishes and hoping she recovers soon. However, the Loona fans who were present at the Chicago concert claimed that it was a bunch of Orbits’ rowdy behavior that had led to Kim Lip crying and walking off mid-concert.

Fans cheer another member’s name during Kim Lip’s turn

With some Orbits exaggerating the incident that some fans had booed at a crying Kim Lip, user @pttkimlip who was present shared what really went down. In between performances, the girls took a break to talk and after Vivi’s speech, fans in front of her started chanting her name. When it was Kim Lip’s turn to talk next, the group of fans acknowledged her by saying “yeah” and then continued to shout Vivi’s name. We also had Vivi asking them to stop by saying, “Guys, Kim Lip’s turn!”

In the clips that have started making the rounds, Kim Lip looked frustrated while the group of fans laughed. With fans trying to cheer Kim Lip’s name after she finished her speech, OP (original poster) felt that it had made it worse. Orbits also brought back the time a similar incident took place in San Francisco with Kim Lip shushing the crowd who continued to shout while she was talking. At Chicago, she skipped ‘Pale Blue Dot’, ‘Flip That’ and ‘Pose’ after which she stopped coming out. Haseul shared that Kim Lip was not feeling well and would not be joining them for the rest of the concert.

Haseul politely requested fans to lower the cheers a little since Loona could not hear when they were talking. After the Chicago concert, Heejin also warned solo fans by asking them to respect all members. She shared, “I know everyone [has] a bias and I know you want to show love but we also want everybody to show a lot of support and respect to every member besides your bias. We will continue to do our very best in every show and every city.”

‘So disrespectful’

Fans are upset as they made tweets like, “F**king crowd made Kim Lip cry by cheering over her when she was trying to talk, she’s trying to hard for us but we can’t let her speak.” Another Orbit was angry, “Let’s be clear. haseul explaining that kim lip’s condition isn’t ‘good’ so she’s not finishing the concert is not because of sickness. it’s because you d*mb b*tches made her cry by cheering vivi over her trying to talk and she got so frustrated.” The user added, “Loona can sense everyone’s mood is down because of kim lip so now they’re trying to cheer US up. even though it’s orbits’ fault like yall are the worst.”

One slammed trolls, “She got upset over this ? YEAH SHE DID. kim lip is talking to the audience about a song they made but the audience interrupts her and loudly shouts vivi's name to the point where vivi has to step in and tell everyone that it's lip's turn to talk. you people are so disrespectful.” Another fan wrote, “The way in san francisco she warned orbits to stfu when shes speaking and yall did that to her. shes f**king def up and she has every right to feel how she does regardless of intention. i hope kim lip feels better :(.”
