Seventeen made their recent comeback with the album 'Face The Sun' with 'Hot' serving as the lead single. The boy group is actively promoting the album in South Korea before they kick off their world tour — 'Be The Sun' — with their first stop being Seoul from June 25-26. Considering that this will be the boy group's first in-person global tour since the pandemic began, it is necessary for all 13 of Seventeen's members to be in the best shape possible.

However, reports of Jeonghan's recent elbow surgery have left fans worried. Pledis Entertainment announced that Jeonghan, Seventeen's second oldest member, underwent surgery for lateral epicondylitis and tendon damage in his right elbow. Jeonghan is recovering but fans are concerned about how the album promotional activities and the upcoming world tour would affect his recovery.

Seventeen's Jeonghan recently underwent an elbow surgery

In the new announcement that was released on June 17, it was reported that Seventeen's Jeonghan has been receiving conservative treatment for inflammation and damage to the outer tendon of his right elbow. The treatment initially included the singer receiving an injection for his injury but on June 15, an additional diagnosis reported that Jeonghan would have to undergo surgery for the issue. The label reported that now Jeonghan has completed the surgery successfully and was released from the hospital on June 16.

Following the surgery, the Seventeen member is currently resting and will be seen in a cast for the time being. Pledis Entertainment said: "For the time being, Jeonghan will wear a cast and wear a brace in the future to protect the surgical site for it to recover faster." The label states that considering the fact that they put the health and well-being of their artists first, Jeonghan was asked to sit out the upcoming tour until he had fully recovered.

Jeonghan to wear a cast for Seventeen's upcoming world tour

Considering the fact that their world tour is on its way, which will take place for the first time in two years and four months, the singer wanted to be an active part of it himself. Pledis Entertainment reported that although Jeonghan wants to participate, he may not be able to do so because of the hectic schedule. They want him to focus on his recovery and health for now so that he can participate in the upcoming tour.

Seventeen, on the other hand, will kickstart their 2022 'Be The Sun' World Tour from June 25 this year in Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome for two days and then take it abroad to begin their world tour in the United States and Canada. Recently, Seventeen also added additional Asia locations for their 2022 world tour, 'Be The Sun' for its Asia Leg. After ending their concerts in the States, Seventeen will host seven new shows across Asia in cities like Jakarta in Indonesia, Bangkok in Thailand, and Manila in the Philippines, before arriving in Singapore for their last show.
