Is HYBE lying about legal action? BTS' V gets death threats AGAIN despite warning

In April, toxic fans had sent BTS' V aka Kim Taehyung death threats for coming in between Jimin and Jungkook

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Where there is fame there will undoubtedly be haters, but the frequency that BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung is getting death threats is alarming. Back in April, V had been sent death threats by shippers who ship Jimin and Jungkook aka Jikook and felt V was coming between them. While the actual incident was childish, some toxic fans took to sending V death threats. BTS’ company HYBE has often warned malicious commenters that they will take legal action but this hasn’t deterred haters. 

Once again several toxic Jikook shippers took to sending death threats to BTS’ V. What upset ARMY is that these comments were posted on Weverse with graphic photos to catch the eye of the BTS members. Weverse is a K-pop messaging platform only meant for idols and their fans. ARMY are worried about V’s mental health as well as his safety due to this new influx of death threats.

BTS fans tell HYBE to take action

Some BTS fans began sending hate on August 15. It picked up by August 17 and caught the attention of international fans. The trolls used photos of guns and other graphic content while threatening in Korean and English telling V to stay away from Jimin and Jungkook.

BTS fans are tired as they counted that HYBE had announced 13 times since 2016 that they would be taking legal action against such users but no visible change has taken place. Well, since August 18, ARMY have taken to trending ‘HYBE take action ASAP’ in hopes that the company finally takes some action instead of simply warning the malicious commenters.

‘Leave Taehyung alone’

Fans are worried and have taken to sending supportive messages online. One ARMY tweeted, “WE LOVE YOU KIM TAEHYUNG♥︎ My baby, My home, My love. Free this baby from all of your sh*ts!! LEAVE TAEHYUNG ALONE WE LOVE YOU TAEHYUNG PROTECT TAEHYUNG HYBE TAKE ACTION ASAP.” Another fan said, “PROTECT YOUR ARTISTS. WEVERSE IS SUPOSSED TO BE A SAFE PLACE FOR THE MEMBERS. ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME TAEHYUNG HAS RECEIVED THESE KIND OF THREATS ON THIS PLATFORM.”

One ARMY shared, “@HYBEOFFICIALtwt has announced 13 times that they will take legal action for infringement of artist rights (From 2016 to the present). However, Artist Kim Taehyung is still under threat @BIGHIT_MUSIC @weverseofficial HYBE TAKE ACTION ASAP.” Another fan said, “PROTECT TAEHYUNG HYBE TAKE ACTION ASAP This is not the 1st time Taehyung’s openly getting threats on a social platform like @weverseofficial it’s seriously concerning to see people are freely posting dts and yet no action is being take to prevent it.”
 

One added, “Bighit reported that weverse was going to make a secure app and legal action would be taken in the event of an incident.  And today seeing this kind of hate message towards an innocent artist is outrageous. Please report and report this and other hate messages towards KTH on wv.” Another ARMY commented, “WE LOVE YOU TAEHYUNG♡You deserve soo much love in this world this people's don't deserve you.. you deserves the best 🥺💜 I wish I could give you every happiness in this world 💜 love you so much my love.”
