Is Chelsea Blackwell OK? ‘Love is Blind’ star reveals getting ‘death threats’ after failed engagement
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: Chelsea Blackwell from 'Love is Blind' Season 6 recently disclosed that she received death threats from viewers after the show was released on Netflix.
In an Instagram video addressing her fans, she acknowledged that viewers have the right to express their opinions about her and the show. However, she pleaded with them to refrain from sending death threats.
“You guys have every single right to, you know, have opinions on my life,” Blackwell said in the video. “But like, I don’t know, maybe cease the death threats for a minute? I don’t know, just a thought.”
Chelsea became the epicenter of trolling and internet mockery after the show was released, primarily for various reasons. Notably, she faced significant backlash for an infamous comparison to Megan Fox, which garnered her a considerable amount of hatred.
Additionally, many criticized her, labeling her as the one with 'red flags.' In response to the online criticism, Chelsea revealed that she has been trying to cope with the negativity. She acknowledged that she might have come off as a bit cringe on the show and admitted to the challenges of dealing with the aftermath of her portrayal.
"Imagine spending the year really working on yourself, finding those inner demons, and really becoming the woman you’ve always wanted to be, sitting with hardships in your life that you’ve never really sat with before and then having to relive it. It’s mental, ok?” she added.
Why did Jimmy say no to Chelsea?
In the finale episode, Jimmy and Chelsea had a sit-down conversation where Jimmy sought Chelsea's stance on their wedding.
Initially taken aback, Chelsea gradually opened up, expressing her eagerness for marriage and her desire to settle down with Jimmy, envisioning him as her future husband and the father of her children. However, Jimmy couldn't reciprocate these sentiments.
He revealed that he wasn't willing to go through with the wedding, calling off their engagement while all seemed to be going well with the couple. Chelsea, visibly upset, accused Jimmy of wasting her time and questioned why he had agreed to get engaged in the first place if he wasn't committed.
In response, Jimmy insisted that his love for Chelsea was genuine, but their explosive fight had caused him to reconsider and step back from the idea of getting married.
Did Jimmy hook up with his friend while dating Chelsea?
In Episode 10 of 'Love Is Blind,' Chelsea confronted Jimmy, accusing him of sleeping with one of his female friends. The preview showcased an intense argument between Chelsea and Jimmy, with Chelsea asserting, "You f----d her. And I know you f----d her." Initially, viewers might have assumed that Jimmy had recently hooked up with someone, possibly Jessica.
However, in the actual confrontation, it became clear that Chelsea was referring to a past incident, not something that occurred during the show.
The explosive fight unfolded as Chelsea revealed her concerns about Jimmy spending time alone with a woman he had previously been involved with before their time on the show, which was one of Jimmy's female friends.
