Is Bombsight still alive? 'The Boys' Season 5 episode 4 reveals what happened to third-oldest supe
Contains spoilers for 'The Boys' Season 5 Episode 4 'King of Hell'
'The Boys' Season 5 Episode 4 was all about the supes and the resistance hunting for V1, which saw them deal with some mind-altering conditions at an old and creepy Vought facility. However, the last remaining bit of serum is reportedly in a character yet to make his appearance in the series. While Homelander (Antony Starr) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) search for the formula at one end of Fort Harmony, the likes of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) are looking for the compound at the other. As it turns out, another supe named Bombsight now possesses V1, and they deduce that the break-in before both parties was "not too long ago."
Set to be played by 'Stranger Things' star Mason Dye, Bombsight was first mentioned in Season 4 as a combat pilot and the third-oldest supe after Soldier Boy and Stormfront. Regarded as one of the strongest supposes there was, the presumed-dead character is now seemingly alive. Hughie rightfully points out that Bombisght was from Soldier Boy's era, and it was very likely that she was shot up with V1 already. If he was indeed holding on to any remaining compound, the major question will be his motive, which remains a mystery for now. He will be seen in the show at some point, before migrating to the upcoming prequel spinoff series 'Vought Rising' starring alongside Ackles.
There is no further mention of Bombsight, but the one character who will have more answers to what Bombsight could do with the V1 is Soldier Boy. The mission to Fort Harmony sees him fight his painful memories from the place, and it is possible that he could have met Bombsight there, just like how he met Quinn (Kris Hagen) in the latest episode. He kills the latter after being taunted by Frenchie, seeking to put an end to the supes' mind-altering abilities, which leads the boys to turn against each other. With the new supe reference, 'The Boys' Season 5 finds a neat way of setting up 'Vought Rising.' For now, there isn't much to say about the spinoff with the complete cast and the plot under wraps. Meanwhile, 'The Boys' Season 5 Episode 4 is available for streaming on Prime Video.
