'Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the ID series
Netflix's 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness' was an immediate hit. Documenting the "stranger-than-fiction" world of big cat owners, the seven-part docuseries focuses on Joe Exotic and his very high-stake lifestyle not only as a zoo owner but as a polygamist too.
One key player in the series is Carole Baskin, an animal rights activist who threatens to shut his zoo down because of his inhumane treatment of animals and big cats. But here is where it gets really dark - to shut Baskin up, Joe plotted a murder-for-hire for which he is currently serving a 22-year long prison sentence.
That is not even the end of it -Joe also accused Baskin of playing a key role in her first husband's disappearance.
This drama is now being taken to a whole new level with a new upcoming Investigation Discovery documentary that is going to dig deeper into the vicious world of these big cat owners than Netflix feeding the obsession of thousands of Americans.
'Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic', the Investigation Discovery docuseries will document the life of Joseph 'Joe Exotic' Maldonado-Passage' but more importantly, it is going to focus on topics that the Netflix docuseries did not explore - delving deeper into murder allegations against Carole Baskin.
Here is everything you need to know about the docuseries.
