The 81st Golden Globes kicked off with a bang as celebs attended the glitzy event on a Sunday night, on January 7, 2024.

Comedian Jo Koy was tapped to serve as a host.

This year's red carpet saw celebs serving some of the hottest looks, all while sending the fans into a frenzy. 

Ludwig Goransson attended the Golden Globes 2024 as he was nominated for 'Best Original Score' for the movie Oppenheimer and he won the award too.

However, fans seemed more fascinated by his uncanny similarity to none other than Jared Leto. 

The Internet exploded with hilarious jokes about uncanny similarities between Jared Leto and Ludwig Goransson.

One fan joked, "Ludwig Goransson looks like if Jared Leto was human."

Another one wrote, "If they ever make a movie about Ludwig Goransson, Jared Leto's gotta play him, right? #goldenglobes" stating Jared would be perfect to play Ludwig's role.

A user wrote, "Wait Ludwig Goransson is Jared Leto? #GoldenGlobes finding such similarities between them.

X users can't stop thinking about how similar they look and some fans even thought that a "prank" was involved. 

One fan said, "Is that Ludwig Goransson or is Jared Leto doing an elaborate prank #GoldenGlobes."

Who is Ludwig Goransson?

Born on September 1, 1984, Ludwig Emil Tomas Goransson is a Swedish composer, conductor, songwriter, and even record producer. 

He is known for composing music for films like 'Black Panther', 'Creed films, 'The Mandalorian', 'New Girl Community' and 'Oppenheimer'.

Goransson was married to Serena McKinney in 2018 and even has a son. 

Goransson won an Oscar in 2019 for 'Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score)' for 'Black Panther'.

He won 'The Golden Globes 2024 award for 'Best Original Score' for the movie Oppenheimer.

In 2023, he was awarded the Litteris at Aribus medal from Sweden's King and Queen.

It is a Swedish royal medal given to people who have made important contributions to culture especially, music, art, and literature.

Jared Leto mocks his method actor reputation 

Jared Leto joined Angela Bassett as a presenter at the 'Golden Globes 2024 awards ceremony.

Jared took a moment to roast himself over his status as one of the popular 'method actors' in Hollywood. 

He also announced the year's categories for Best Supporting Actress and Actor in a Motion Picture.

The winners were Da' Vine Joy Randolph for 'The Holdovers' and Robert Downey Jr for 'Oppenheimer' respectively.

He told the audience, "I have been in presenter mode for weeks now and I've been doing research developing my character, incessantly reminding everyone to please call me by my character name, dammit."

Basset asked, "You mean Jared Leto?"

To which Jared replied, "Exactly! I've also learned the art of holding an envelope."

Jared Leto's method acting stories are well-documented for instance he lost 40 pounds for his Oscar-winning role in 'Dallas Buyers Club'.
