While making an appearance on 'TMZ Live' on Wednesday, the Michelin-star chef discussed the return of a popular oversized McDonald's item that has been enjoyed by Australians and will soon be available in the US for a limited time.
Curtis believes that this 4-patty burger is extremely unhealthy and should come with a health warning. He is not only concerned about the high number of calories (around 740), but also about other potential health risks.
The chef also thinks that McDonald's has frequently failed to give its customers accurate information about the food they are consuming, particularly regarding the claim of "100 per cent beef" which may actually include different types of meat cuts. He believes that people should always be aware of what they are eating.
He thinks that fast food chains like McDonald's control the nation by catering to people's desires, but Curtis explains why this is detrimental rather than beneficial.

In a LinkedIn post, CEO Chris Kempczinski admitted that there has been an impact due to misinformation, referring to the backlash faced by the company, as per BBC.

In a message, Kempczinski wrote, "Several markets in the Middle East and some outside the region are experiencing a meaningful business impact due to the war and associated misinformation that is affecting brands like McDonald's."
He further added, "This is disheartening and ill-founded."
Kempczinksi continued, "In every country where we operate, including in Muslim countries, McDonald's is proudly represented by local owner-operators."
