McDonalds and Burger King accused of providing free meals to soldiers
McDonald's and Burger King are under scrutiny for reportedly offering free meals to Israeli soldiers. McDonald's Israel stated that they had supplied thousands of meals, and Burger King in Israel posted images of the restaurant serving Israeli soldiers.
McDonald's Malaysia, which is owned by Muslims, has disassociated itself from the Israeli chain. They also donated RM1 million to the Palestine Humanitarian Fund. Some deaf employees and food delivery customers have expressed frustration with the situation.
An X user shared a video saying, "While Gaza is being carpet-bombed, killing thousands of innocent civilians, Israeli soldiers are tasting the food that McDonalds gives them for free.
The user added, "While genocide is being committed in Gaza, the companies you go and shop with are helping Zionist Israel and its army, which is committing massacres and genocide in Gaza."
