Dating isn't exactly easy. To put yourself out there, to be vulnerable enough for your partner to get to know you and the risk of heartbreak certainly piles on the pressure. And while finding love is hard for most people, Shauna Rae certainly seems to have gotten the short end of the stick. Although she is 22, her appearance attracts people who could fetishize her. However, Shauna hasn't given up on love just yet despite the hurdles.

If you're looking for other TLC shows to check out, you might want to consider -- '1000-lb Sisters', 'My 600 lb Life', 'Darcey and Stacey' and '90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days'.

The above is undoubtedly Patty, Shauna's mother's primary concern. To find a solution, Patty suggested seeing a matchmaker instead so that someone else could weed out the wrong matches. Shauna wasn't entirely sure, as she saw matchmaking as more of a religious/traditional household way of finding a partner, but was open to the idea. Fans certainly agreed that it was a better alternative to online dating.

"I can understand her parents being so concerned with dating. She looks so young and I would side eye men who are attracted to her for sure #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan. "#IAmShaunaRae Patty is a great mother. She always protects Shauna at all times. @TLC" added another.
"Mom is concerned that men Shauna has dated are "fetishy" and like to think they are messing around with a child and not an adult. I could imagine that concern, but Shauna also needs to be smart about who she gets involved with. Date a nice guy who respects you. #IAmShaunaRae" expressed another. "Her mother is smart to hire a match maker. I would do the same thing. I would rather do that than pay for a online dating app. #IAmShaunaRae" added a fan.
