'I Am Shauna Rae': Fans agree that Shauna should be able to buy 's*x toys in peace'

After Shauna was asked for id proof while shopping for her sister's bachelorette party, she argued that people should learn to mind their own business

For Shauna Rae, the star of TLC's 'I Am Shauna Rae', she often faces judgment over her height no matter where she goes. This is because, like most 22-year-olds, Shauna lives her life as an adult; however, it's not so easy, seeing that she is stuck in the body of an 8-year-old.

With the series featuring how Shauna navigates around dating, college and her family, a staple feature is the production crew asking people she meets for the first time what they think of her when they find out she's a legal adult and not a child.

The reactions are often filled with shock and awe. For Shauna however, constantly getting carded is not a fun experience. As she and her sister Rylee went shopping for Tara's bachelorette, the cashier asked her for her ID proof, seeing that a few customers had an issue with her there, as they assumed that she was a child. Shauna argued that she wasn't paying attention to them, and neither should they be paying attention. Fans fully supported her argument on the topic.

"Mind your damn business!" I love Shauna so much. Let her purchase her sex toys in peace. #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan. "Shauna deserves to buy sex toys in peace!! #IAmShaunaRae" added another. "The cashier doesn't look like he's old enough to be in the sex store either! Can we see your ID young man??! #IAmShaunaRae" joked a fan.

Others sympathized with Shauna and noted that if people were more observant, this issue wouldn't occur. "You can easily listen to how Shauna talks and know she's not a child plus the more that I see her the more I notice that she in fact does have adult facial features #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan. "I swear we've become a society where people don't understand that shirt people do exist I feel your frustration girl. I'm 37, 4'7 and I still sometimes get asked for ID too. @TLC @iamshaunarae #IAmShaunaRae" added another. "Y’all leave Shauna alone! She clearly has had a very hard time finding her independence and her identity with her stature. Stop being so judgy and try to understand #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan.

However, she amped up the raunchy meter, seeing that Shauna always had something to prove. Fans noted that the overcompensating was not precisely doing her any favors. "I agree with Riley. Shauna is always trying to prove her age it makes her seem younger sometimes. #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan.
