'I Am Shauna Rae': Fans support Shauna's dream to go to college and become a vet

Shauna's goal is the become a vet and to do so, she is now considering her education options

For Shauna Rae, the star of 'I Am Shauna Rae', living everyday life as a 22-year-old has not been easy, owing to her condition. But that has not stopped her from trying to do all that she loves. While her height and looks have certainly been a hindrance, she continues to brave it all to achieve what she wants.

Shauna has been relatively forthcoming during this season, addressing everything from her love life to her family. But now, Shauna is exploring her college options, as she wants nothing more than to become a vet. However, her size certainly causes issues.

Shauna decided to talk to her sister Tara, who is currently pursuing her PhD. While the sisters do get along, they are also known to clash over their personalities. As their stepfather Mark explains it, they are like "two pissed off cats in a sack". Even the girls' mother, Patty, noted that they were like oil and water. Shauna, however, reached out to her sister because she had her apprehensions about joining college. Fans were largely supportive of her choice.

"I don't know what it feels like to be shauna but her disability is her height people would receive her a lot better in college than people with other disabilities...it isn't high school it's a different crowd I'm sure she'd be just fine. #IAmShaunaRae" tweeted a fan. "No matter where you go, there’s always going to be challenges. I went to college and university and it had its challenges. Especially having a disability, don’t let it stop you. Help educate others. I hope this show brings a ton of awareness, but I really hope it will provide her with some great opportunities! She's has so much to offer! #IAmShaunaRae" mentioned a fan. "If you can go get a tattoo and drink in public you can def go sit in a class in college. The people in college are more concerned about making sure they get what they paid for so they can graduate. #IAmShaunaRae" added another.
