POTOMAC, MARYLAND: It looks like the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Ashley Darby pays close attention to what the show’s fans talk about her. On Monday, the reality TV star posted a story to her Instagram account where she addressed some scathing accusations made toward her by displeased ‘RHOP’ fans. In her story, Ashley claims that she is “not a colorist” after fans slammed the Potomac housewife for her behavior on the show’s most recent episode. Here’s what she had to say.

In her Instagram story, the recently separated housewife stated, “I really hate that I have to say anything about this, that I have to address this, but it seems to have just gotten, like, way out of control.” Adding, “First and foremost, I am not a colorist. I know everyone wants to deem me that. They want to make all these accusations about me, but I don’t claim that because that’s not me.” Talking about her relationship with the other housewives, Ashley continued, “I feel like people forget that I have had issues or disagreements with every single woman on the show for whatever reason, for whatever thing that we disagreed upon, at some point in time, irrespective of the hue of her skin.”

Ashley also added, “So I always start at a hundred with people until you give a reason to take it down, alright? That is all that has transpired.” She ended her statement by telling her followers how much she cared for the other women. She said, “And I still care about the women on this show. And I hope, I hope that everyone, including them, knows that. Nothing that I will ever feel about you is because of your color of your skin!”

Ashley was called out for a mean “prank” she pulled on castmates Dr Wendy Osefo and Candiace Dillard-Bassett during a relaxing vacation with the other ‘RHOP’ ladies. Ashley had partaken in the prank along with Robyn Dixon, and the two had swapped keys to their rooms so that Wendy and Candice ended up sharing a smaller room. When fans witnessed the pair’s evil deed, many were shocked at their apparent ‘colorist’ behavior toward the two ladies who are considered the darkest skin-toned women among the cast of ‘RHOP’.

Catch Ashley in 'Real Housewives Of Potomac' Season 7, airing Sundays on BravoTV at 8 pm ET/PT.
