‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 6 Episode 4 leaves fans disappointed in Michaela's cringe-worthy character arc

She might be the next Annalise Keating in the making, but fans feel that Michaela is losing grip on her character traits
PUBLISHED OCT 18, 2019

Michaela Pratt, the super ambitious, go-getter of Annalise's "fab five", leaves no stone unturned to prove her worth.

Whether it is shining in a case or hunting her biological father across the country, she never lets anything slip from her grip. But she does fail and badly so.

Right from the day she joined Annalise's class, Michaela has been grooming herself to be like her mentor and professor but has also developed ample angst arising out of the situations she found herself in.

As her character evolved, we have seen her go up and down the growth curve. At times, she made fans sympathetic towards her (very rare occasions) and at other times, she leaves no room for people to be disappointed in her character's behavior.

Episode four of the new season was one such instance, where fans found her behaving obnoxiously.

'How to Get Away with Murder' season 6 episode 1 lays down another Asher—Michaela—Gabriel love triangle (ABC)

People have even found themselves "cringing" at her pushy behavior, especially when she is ready to hold her hubris higher than her relationship with Gabriel.

She leaves for New York in the middle of a workweek just so she could find her biological father, gather a DNA sample and prove that she has been right all along.

Michaela is great at pushing people away, even those who care about her, or so the fans feel. From rolling eyes to calling her names, fans her leaving no opportunity to show how disappointing her character has turned out to be.

And funnily, at the same time, people also see her be "dumb" for not realizing her mistakes while trying to play it smart. Particularly, female fans, feel that she has become the perfect "opportunist" who uses people, even her partners to get what she wants.

Like, one user tweeted, "WOW! Did Michaela just try to play the Asher card??" Another fan wanted to cringe with her tweet, "Me every time Michaela does something #HTGAWM". 'How To Get Away With Murder' airs on ABC, every Thursday at 9 pm/ 8c.
