CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Apple TV+'s 'Dark Matter' has reached a conclusion but fans aren't done talking about the show yet. The open-ended finale has left fans speculating what lies ahead for all the characters, especially Ryan Holder (Jimmi Simpson) and Amanda Lucas (Alice Braga).

Ryan and Amanda have their own strong story arcs. Moreover, the finale of 'Dark Matter' has only added more weight to these characters, opening up a possibility of them taking center stage in a potential Season 2.

In 'Dark Matter' Episode 6, Jason 2 (Joel Edgerton) abandoned Ryan 1 in a parallel world where aurora lights illuminated Chicago's skyline.

Later, in Episode 7, when Amanda 2 chose to stay in one of the random realities, fans were quick to notice that this world too had aurora lights hovering over the sky.

Though it was one in a million possibility for Ryan 1 and Amanda 2 to have imagined and opening the door to exact same universe, it happened anyway.

In the finale episode, we saw Ryan 1 working on a drug and meeting Amanda 2.

"Do I know you?" asked Amanda 2.

"No, but I've been looking for you," replied Ryan 1.

This strange yet expected meet up has left fans intrigued about their fate and next course of action.

Neither Blake Crouch nor Apple TV+ have confirmed the renewal of 'Dark Matter'. Yet, it doesn't stop fans from speculating what happens in Amanda and Ryan's new world.

A fan took to Reddit and shared an interesting possibility. He wrote, "Here's a possible theory: Amanda finds the ampules that Jason1 left in her purse. At some point she becomes curious about the nature of the drug and has it chemically analyzed at a lab. The analysis gets stored in a public or semi-public database that Ryan eventually accesses as he is trying to re-synthesize the drug. (Remember, Ryan1 didn't actually make the drug, he had an idea for it. Ryan 2 from Jason 2's universe is the one who actually made it.)"

"So Ryan1 in his research finds that his drug has already been cataloged. He recognizes it because he had just done a similar chemical analysis in his world before Jason 2 dumped him into the utopia universe. So he goes on a quest to find the person who submitted the drug for analysis. Eventually he tracks her down in Seattle," he further added.

Someone joined the thread and wrote, "When I saw Ryan making the drug, I assume he was doing from his memory of having studied it after Daniela gave a sample to him. So he had the formula. I'm not sure about his connection with Amanda in that world. That Ryan didn't know her."

Another interesting theory on Reddit reads, "Amanda is now a famous psychologist and she wrote a book on alternate universes that Ryan found strangely familiar. So he tracked her down to help him navigate the Box and get home."

Well, we hope that 'Dark Matter' gets renewed for Season 2 and we get the answers to the mysteries that were left unattended in Season 1.
