WILKINSON COUNTY, GEORGIA: Anna Cardwell got separated from her ex-husband Michael Cardwell in 2017. She met Eldridge Toney in June 2017 and soon started dating, as per her Facebook profile. Eldridge Toney stood like a strong pillar after Anna Cardwell's cancer diagnosis and took care of her. Unfortunately, Anna Cardwell died on December 9, 2023, after battling adrenal stage four cancer for nine months.
The couple was in a long-term relationship and even moved into a new home in 2020. In an interview with The US Sun, Anna revealed that she and her man wear promise rings. She continued, "I always tell him marriage is just a piece of paper saying 'Hey you're married'. I told myself if we make it past four years, then we can talk about it more."
The couple even wanted to have children of their own and they even tried to do so. Anna Cardwell stated to The US Sun in 2021, "We are trying to have a third child, and it's been difficult. I have gone through four miscarriages and a D&C. It's been a long bumpy ride for us trying to have a baby number three." Anna Cardwell already had two daughters Kaityln Shannon and Kylee Cardwell from her past relationships.

As per an exclusive report shared by People, Eldridge Toney stated that seeing 'empty rooms' in the home they stayed together and waking up without having Anna beside him has been very hard on him. He stated that his life drastically changed after the death of his wife Anna Cardwell.
He stated that the incident 'keeps hitting me again' and 'It's going to be a lot different'. He also mentioned that the thought of going back to his home without Anna or the girls is 'hard to process' for him. He added, 'It's going to be very lonely' for him to stay all alone without his loving family that he once had.
Does Eldridge Toney have custody of Anna Cardwell's children?
Even though Anna Cradwell and Eldridge did not share any children they were open about trying for a baby together before her stage four adrenal cancer diagnosis.
