In March 2023, amid her cancer diagnosis, Anna Cardwell married Elridge Toney.

Anna Cardwell's private funeral occurred at Williams-White Columns Funeral Home in Gordon, Georgia. People reported that cell phones were prohibited from the event, and approximately 70 individuals, including the cast and crew of the family show, attended the funeral.
