Who are Stephanie and Chip Harrison? 'Home Town Takeover' fixes Wetumpka's 170-year-old Kane Home
The renovating duo, Ben and Erin Napier, has proved that no project is too small or too large for them. Having taken on the ultimate challenge of renovating the city of Wetumpka in Alabama, the couple has effectively given the entire city a facelift and a new lease of life on 'Home Town Takeover'.
From renovating the heart of Wetumpka called Company Street, to public spaces such as Jeanette E Barrett Civic Room, the iconic Big Fish House and finally, helping community leaders such as the Rose Family, there is little Ben and Erin haven't done so far in Wetumpka. And, for the season finale, the duo is pulling out all the stops.

Who are Stephanie and Chip Harrison?
Stephanie and Chip Harrison are residents of Wetumpka. The couple has three daughters together — Zoey, Ella and Maggie. Stephanie is an art teacher and the owner of Jasmine Hill Art Gallery. Harrison opened her art gallery back in 1987 and as per Facebook, has the "reputation of being one of the best art instructional art facilities in Alabama".
What work did the Kane house require?
The Kane house has a unique history, seeing that it is one of the older houses in Wetumpka at 170 years old. The Kane Sisters, who originally stayed and owned the home, are the ones who made the place so unique. After inheriting the home, the three sisters decided that they require more space. In order to do so, they had the structures of two other homes attached to the existing one, creating a one-of-a-kind house, while effectively expanding the area of the same. However, this expansion meant that over time, the house itself began to require varying degrees of work at different times. What was once a cool home with a unique history now became a lifelong renovation project for the Harrisons, who, unfortunately, had limited time and resources at their disposal.
As Chip puts it, "We're on year 16 of the five-year plan. Everywhere, something needs to be fixed." With Ben and Erin Napier on the scene, that might just be a problem of the past for the Harrisons. Seeing the overall state of the house, the couple realized that it was in dire need of a makeover.
What did Ben and Erin do to their home?
The Kane House needed a massive overhaul. Apart from painting the exterior, Ben and Erin wanted to create a library in the living room, along with a designated study area for the girls. With the bathroom, the entire place was to be redone. With the dining room and kitchen, Erin decided to take down the wall, to make the two rooms seamless. The Napiers even got 'Help! I Wrecked My House!' host Jasmine Roth to help them out.
Roth was quick to get to work while the Napiers were awake, drawing her attention to refurbishing the floor and retiling the bathroom so that the Harrisons finally had a usable space for themselves. Ben also got to work and created a dedicated work and study space for the Harrison girls. The family was absolutely thrilled to see their renovated home, seeing that it was a far cry from what their home used to look like. They were thrilled to be able to save their heritage home and also to call it their own.
