'HGTV Dream Home 2020': Air date, property, location and everything you need to know about the New Year special

Every year, HGTV gives away a massive and artistically built home to one lucky winner. The tradition started in 1997, when HGTV showcased their first-ever dream home, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In 2019, it was a chic, mountain estate in Whitefish Lake, Montana.
The 'Dream Home 2020' will be the network's 24th dream property to be given away through a sweepstake.

The 'Dream Home 2020' will be unveiled on January 1, 2020, at 9 pm, only on HGTV
The Property
This year, the ante goes a few notches up and the 24th Dream Home of HGTV is all set to unveil at the exotic Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. The sprawling 3500 square feet, Southern-style estate is built by Shoreline Constructions and designed by Court Atkins Group.
The interior design is done by HGTV’s very own Brian Patrick Flynn and furnished by Wayfair. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom property is situated in Windmill Harbor, a private community on the island, near the Intracoastal Waterway.
The overall design and theme reflect a trendy yet relaxed layout with very marine and tropical colors.
Location
As named by Travel & Leisure, the Hilton Head Island is America's Best Island (for four years straight). The landscape offers stunning vistas of beaches, sunsets, giving you the perfect island charm.
The destination is also known for outdoor adventures around the year, delectable culinary experiences, and a lifestyle that speaks luxury at every move.
Host
The special event will be hosted by Tamara Day. She is the face of DIY Network and is currently hosting the new series 'Bargain Mansions'. A native of Kansas City, MO, Day is a model, designer, television show host, and a mother of four. She is also known for her appearance in 'The Mailbox' and 'DIY Ulitmate Retreat 2017'.
