Cast

Jasmine Roth

What makes Roth the perfect host is the fact that she started her career in construction by taking on the ultimate DIY project — her own home. Roth and her husband bought a property in Huntington Beach. They planned on overseeing the construction work over the weekends while maintaining full-time jobs. Roth realized soon enough that she had to commit to either her job or the building of her home — she picked the latter.

And it definitely turned out to be the right decision, seeing that she loved it and turned it into a career. Roth has always been the type to get her hands dirty so it's no surprise that construction proved to be her calling. Having grown up in Virginia, knowing basic carpentry and other handyman skills were a must — Roth already had a good foundation to work with.

“When you live in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself building stuff because there's nothing else to do. I grew up building treehouses, really cool playhouses, beautiful sheds, making furniture and that kind of stuff with my dad in the garage.” This is what she had to say in an interview with HGTV, which explains how and why her skills come so naturally to her.

Roth has had a very successful TV career so far, seeing that she's hosted shows like 'Hidden Potential', 'Rock the Block' and Season 1 of 'Help! I Wrecked My House!'
