Netflix’s upcoming TV series ‘Halston’ is based on the life and struggles of the iconic fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick. Halston changed the landscape of American fashion with his designs and became one of the most influential names in the fashion industry.
All his designs were considered to be synonyms with luxury, status, sex, and fame. The designer gained wider prominence after designing the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to the inauguration of her husband, President John F Kennedy, in 1961. The series will undoubtedly look to unravel all the mysteries behind Halston’s fight to take control of his most-prized asset – the name “Halston” itself.

Ewan McGregor as Roy “Halston” Frowick
One of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry, Ewan McGregor is perhaps the most renowned Scottish actor working in Hollywood right now. Born on March 31, 1971, McGregor made his acting debut in 1993 with the TV series ‘Lipstick on Your Collar’ alongside Louise Germaine. He made a quick transition to films and started getting some really good roles. However, the role that would make him a household name came in 1997 when he appeared in the TV show ‘ER’. The actor was nominated for an Emmy for his role on the show.
Meanwhile, he gained wider prominence in the film industry with Danny Boyle’s ‘Trainspotting’ and received the Best Actor accolade for his acting in the movie. After some mediocre movies, he redeemed himself and starred in the Academy Award-winning movie ‘Moulin Rouge’ alongside Nicole Kidman. The Scottish actor received the Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy nominated at the Golden Globes.
In 2018, he received his first Best Actor trophy at the Golden Globes for TV series ‘Fargo’.

Rebecca Dayan as Elsa Peretti
Born in April 1984, Rebecca Dayan grew up in a small village in the south of France and moved to Paris to study art and fashion design when she was 18. She started her career as a model and also worked as a stylist for designer Sonia Rykiel. After working as a model for most of her career, she started to get acting offers in the late 2000s. She began her acting career in 2009 with the short movie ‘House of Illusions’. Two years later, she would go on to star in ‘Limitless’ alongside Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Abbie Cornish.
Apart from the aforementioned titles, she has also featured on projects such as ‘The Neon Demon’, ‘Elementary’, and ‘Tesla’.
Rory Culkin as Joel Schumacher
Born on July 21, 1989, Rory Hugh Culkin is the brother of Macaulay Culkin who rose to fame by acting in the ‘Home Alone’ movies. One of Rory’s first roles came in the movie ‘Richie Rich’ alongside his brother, Macaulay. However, his breakthrough role came in the movie ‘You Can Count on Me’ in 2000.
Directed by Kenneth Lonergan, the movie also starred Laura Linney and Mark Ruffalo in pivotal roles. Rory won the YoungArtist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film – Supporting Young Actor for the movie. Meanwhile, he also received nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards.
In 2002, he went on to star in the critically-acclaimed film ‘Signs’ and once again received a Leading Actor nomination at the Young Artist Awards. Krysta Anne Rodriguez is one of the most prominent names on Broadway and has acted in numerous theatre productions. In 2004, she starred in the theatre production ‘Bye, Bye Birdie’ and garnered a lot of praise for her acting. After acting in numerous critically-acclaimed theatre productions, Rodriguez portrayed the character of Wednesday in ‘The Addams Family’.
