With several countries opening up after the pandemic, more and more in-person events like concerts, award shows, film festivals and matches are taking place. In fact, on April 15, South Korea announced that they had lifted all social distancing restrictions for concerts. At the ongoing BTS concerts in Las Vegas, fans do not need to show a Covid-19 vaccine certificate. Meanwhile, KCON has resumed with artists like Monsta X and BTOB attending. And now HallyuPopFest is also back.

Launched in Singapore in 2018, the HallyuPopFest was the largest K-pop music festival held in Southeast Asia. They had a star-studded lineup over the years as they invited the likes of NCT 127, Wanna One, Super Junior, (G)I-DLE and more. Well, for their 2022 edition, they are going international as it will be held in London and have roped in K-pop acts like Mamamoo’s Hwasa, Astro and SF9.
