JUNEAU, ALASKA: 'Sweet Tooth' Season 3 has officially dropped on Netflix, revealing more secrets and truths about hybrids while deepening the captivating narrative of Gus (Christian Convery) and his companions as they embark on a journey to Alaska.

Since 'Sweet Tooth' Season 2, viewers were led to believe that Gus was the first hybrid to exist. This assumption arose from the fact that he was the initial hybrid created from a sample collected by the Fort Smith Labs team from Alaska.

However, the third and final season of 'Sweet Tooth' reveals that Gus isn’t the first hybrid. It's revealed that a hybrid predates Gus, challenging the previously held belief that he was the first of his kind.

So, who is the first hybrid? Let's discuss the key events of 'Sweet Tooth' Season 3.

In 1911, Dr James Thacker (Joel Tobeck), embarked on an expedition to the Arctic, where he discovered a mythical cave containing a sacred tree with the Earth's blood. This tree possessed the power to both spread and heal the virus.

After obtaining a sample from the sacred tree, Thacker inadvertently unleashed The Sick and the birth of hybrids. Although The Sick killed Thacker and his crew, Ikiaq, a native woman impregnated by Nathaniel Burke, one of Thacker's men, gave birth to the first hybrid—a being half-boy, half-caribou—shortly before her death.

That baby is the first hybrid child, preceding Gus. He would later become known to the outside world as a mythical creature referred to as 'the caribou man.'

The first hybrid's real name is Munaqsriri, and he has lived for over 100 years. He saves Birdie (Amy Seimetz) in the snow after she is attacked by one of Zhang's (Rosalind Chao) men.

As 'Sweet Tooth' Season 3 unfolds, viewers witness his death when Rosie (Kelly Marie Tran) releases her wolves, her hybrid sons, to find Gus. However, they attack Munaqsriri, which leads to his death.

Gus is revealed as the second hybrid in 'Sweet Tooth.' In Season 2, Gillian Washington's (Robyn Malcolm) team retrieved ice samples from Alaska.

They attempted to utilize the microbes from the ice by injecting them into chicken eggs. However, an unexpected discovery of a heartbeat inside one of the eggs eventually resulted in the birth of Gus.

Gillian decided to inject herself with the modified microbes, becoming the first known case of the H5G9 virus or the Sick. The sudden emergence of a mysterious virus created a seismic shift in the natural order of the world.

Amid the turmoil, the birth of hybrid children shocked the world. They were completely immune to the virus, a miraculous safeguard provided by nature to protect the next generation from the devastating effects of the virus.

In 'Sweet Tooth' Season 3, it was revealed that while the remaining humans would weather the immediate crisis brought on by the virus, in the long run, the Earth would be inherited by the hybrids.
