GOT7's Yugyeom plans 1st solo tour in Germany, fans say 'that's so random'
With K-pop dominating the globe, more and more brands and even countries are trying to invest in South Korea’s pop culture. We have the likes of McDonald’s and Louis Vuitton to NBA’s Golden State Warriors and the MET Gala acknowledging and teaming up with K-pop idols. Indonesia hosted their first exclusive K-pop award show while Coachella has had a K-pop lineup since 2016. And now Germany has become the latest hotbed for European K-pop events.
At the end of 2021, it was announced that Germany would be hosting KPop.Flex, Europe’s first and largest K-pop concert in May. Tickets were sold out immediately as the lineup consists of K-pop giants like Monsta X, Enhypen, EXO’s Kai, Mamamoo and NCT Dream. While it is being held in Frankfurt on May 14, we have another idol performing for fans on the same time. After Yugyeom’s mother spoiled his comeback date, it was reported that the GOT7 star would be touring in Germany.

Yugyeom to tour in Germany
On February 7, Jin Entertainment, an event organizer shared that Yugyeom would be having his first solo tour in Germany this May. Other artists like Crayon 88 hyped it up, confirming the tour for fans. This will be the GOT7 star’s first tour as a soloist. Previously, he was supposed to perform at ‘Music Bank’ in Dubai in 2020 with GOT7's leader JayB before it got canceled due to the pandemic. Fans are excited for Yugyeom’s Germany tour as he is supposedly releasing new music in March and so fans will get to watch him perform it live in May.
‘Guess I’m flying to Germany’
Fans were excited, as well as surprised by the announcement as they took to Twitter to make tweets like, “Yugyeom germany…? literally the most random thing ever but okay,” and “Yugyeom touring in Germany is as random as Bambam being an NBA team ambassador.” One Ahgase posted, “Yugyeom’s mom spoiling yugyeom’s march comeback, bald dalkyum enlisting, and now yugyeom germany concert?! all there is left to do is to wait for yugyeom to breath and confirm all of this.”
