What's better than one hour of 'Good Girls'? Well two. Season 4 of the Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman starrer will return with a two-hour summer premiere shortly. Fans who have been on the edge of their seats, after Beth (Christina Hendricks) discovers that Rio (Manny Montana) wants her to start printing Canadian currency, will hopefully get some answers. How exactly is Rio planning to expand the business? What does this mean for Beth who has been hoping to keep a low profile after being on the radar of Secret Service Agents Phoebe (Lauren Lapkus) and Dave (Jonathan Silverman)?

It is unclear at this point if a Season 5 is on the cards for 'Good Girls'. Season 4 of 'Good Girls' is expected to run till July 22. 'Good Girls' returns with an episode called 'Strong Hearts Strong Sales', which will see the trio of Beth, Annie and Ruby trying to figure out a way to smuggle fake cash, even while and Dean (Matthew Lillard) have reached their breaking point.

The two-hour summer premiere of 'Good Girls' will air on Thursday, June 24.

'Good Girls' time slot has now shifted from its original Sunday slot to Thursday night. For viewers who wish to tune in to the show without cable, they can do so using any of the following streaming services: Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu With Live TV, AT&T TV or YouTube TV. 

Plot

The synopsis for the summer premiere episode says, “Things become more complicated for the women under Rio’s thumb. Stan offers the ladies an unconventional idea. Annie’s new living arrangement causes more problems than anticipated. The trio must find a way to smuggle the fake cash, but things are further complicated when Stan gets involved. Annie reluctantly agrees to go to dinner with Kevin. Ruby discovers something horrifying. Beth and Dean reach a breaking point."

Cast

Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks has made her mark playing the cool and calm Beth Boland on 'Good Girls'. Prior to 'Good Girls', Hendricks was of course best known for her role as Joan Holloway on ‘Mad Men’. Her sensuous portrayal of the role in no small part we're sure led to Hendricks being named the “sexiest woman in the world” by Esquire magazine. Hendricks is the recipient of six Primetime Emmy Award nominations, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Critics' Choice Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Retta 

Marietta Sangai Sirleaf, known professionally as Retta, plays the no-nonsense Ruby on 'Good Girls'. Interestingly, Retta was a pre-med student at Duke University, before she decided to take a shot at acting. Retta who is also a standup comedian is known for her roles on 'Parks and Recreation', 'Fracture' and 'Good Boys'.

Mae Whitman 

Mae Whitman is one of the few child stars who has managed to make a successful transition to being a successful actor as an adult as well. Whitman made her big-screen debut playing Meg Ryan's daughter in 'When a Man Loves a Woman' and went on to do many more notable roles as a child actor in films such as 'Independence Day', 'One Fine Day' and 'Hope Floats'. As she grew older, Whitman started to appear in several television shows such as 'JAG', 'State of Grace', 'Desperate Housewives' and 'Grey's Anatomy'. As for her film career as an older actor, she received critical acclaim for her performance in 'The DUFF' in 2015. Since 2018, Whitman has played the role of Annie Marks in 'Good Girls'.

Life always seems to be challenging for Beth Boland, but in the trailer of the upcoming episode, Annie seems to feel particularly bad for Beth this week, when she tells Beth, "It really sucks to be you this week".
