'Gonna f**king suck': Fans slam Rachel Weisz's first look from Prime Video's 'Dead Ringers'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rachel Weisz is all set to blow everyone's mind as she stars in one of Prime's upcoming series which is also an adaptation of one of the 80s films. The upcoming drama television series is based on the 1988 film of the same name by David Cronenberg. However, Prime has been doing great with their original releases starting from 'The Boys' to 'Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power'. The upcoming drama series is created, written, and executive produced by Emmy-nominated writer and playwright Alice Birch ('Normal People,' 'Succession,' 'The Wonder'). Amazon's modern take on David Cronenberg's 1988 Jeremy Irons-starring thriller finds Rachel Weisz playing the double-lead roles of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes: including pushing the boundaries of medical ethics: in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women's health care to the forefront.
Furthermore, the streamer has collected an ensemble cast for 'Dead Ringers' that includes Britne Oldford of 'The Umbrella Academy,' Michael Chernus from 'Orange is the New Black', Poppy Liu, Emily Meade, and Jennifer Ehle. 'The Iron Claw,' and 'Martha Marcy May Marlene' director Sean Durkin will set the tone for the production by helming the first two episodes and co-directing the series finale. The rest of the directorial team includes Karena Evans, Karyn Kusama who helmed 'Jennifer’s Body', and Lauren Wolkstein.

Rachel Weisz acing 'Dead Ringers' first poster
Everything we’ve seen so far about the series has made it clear that if the project had a theme color it would be bright red, which makes it no surprise that it nearly jumps out of the poster. Both of Weisz’s characters have their profiles on display with one of the twins also taking front and center while donning a red surgical-like outfit. Below her is a lamb, perhaps it's a hint that the plot will have a sacrifice. Down the sides of the poster, we see tiny depictions of lambs and fetuses with the space between the women’s profiles displaying a womb with two tiny fetuses inside. If we may say so, the image certainly gives off little sinister vibes.

'It's probably gonna f**ing suck'
However, after the poster dropped online fans were quick to troll it as 'The Mummy' star Weisz has played the role of a twin which probably makes it a little monotonous for the audience. A fan said, "She always plays a twin," hinting at Weisz's role in 'Constantine'. A fan shared, "Rachel Weisz is a good pick, but im not sure about Rachel Weisz," hinting at the poster which mentions her name twice. A fan questioned, "So you've got the one eyed symbolism, duality, someone dressed in red and an upside down pyramid oh and a lamb. Could you fit in any more Masonic symbolism?" while another fan added, "Is there going to be a third Rachel Weisz in a fat suit who plays her mom?" Lastly, a fan commented, "it's probably gonna f**ing suck."
