The 2021 Golden Globes kicked off on February 28, 2021, with many awaiting one of Hollywood's most anticipated awards season this year. With many congratulating Daniel Kaluuya for his performance in the biographical drama 'Judas And The Black Messiah' and others dotting on Mark Ruffalo's win for Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Film for 'I Know 'This Much Is True', there is still a lot more to go.

Comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the award ceremony, considered to be the first bi-coastal event in the show's history. Fey hosted the ceremony from New York City's Rainbow Room while Poehler was present at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

'The Queen's Gambit' (Netflix)

For the category, Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, 'The Queen's Gambit' took home the award. Anya Taylor-Joy also won for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for 'The Queen's Gambit' and this could not be any more deserving.

"I literally just around my room screaming because Anya and queen's gambit won," wrote one fan. Another added, "anya and daisy deserve all the awards like their role in the queen's gambit and normal people." Yet another added, "The Queen’s Gambit winning Best Limited Series and Anya Taylor-Joy Best Actress in a Limited Series at the #GoldenGlobes is everything that’s RIGHT. So very well deserved." Other nominees for the category were 'Normal People', 'Small Axe, 'The Undoing' and 'Unorthodox'.
