Golden Globes 2021: 'Nomadland' wins Best Motion Picture for Drama, Internet dubs film ‘Oscars frontrunner’
Golden Globes 2021 kicked off on Sunday, February 28. The event was hosted by comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, with them gracing our screens virtually from two different locations. Even though the novel coronavirus kept us cooped up in our homes for months in a row, movie buffs still got their dose of entertainment with some of the brilliant films that were presented to us through various platforms.
The 78th Golden Globes Awards did things differently, as we witnessed the first bicoastal virtual ceremony. The event was reportedly being viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide. In addition to the categories announced tonight, Jane Fonda was honored with Cecil B. deMille Award and Norman Lear with Carol Burnett Award, while Spike Lee's children Satchel and Jackson Lee served as the 2021 Golden Globe Ambassadors.
