After nearly two months of delay, the much-anticipated Golden Globes Awards 2021 kicked off on Sunday, February 28. For the first time in history, hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are conducting a bicoastal virtual ceremony by gracing our screens from two different locations. Although the event is virtual, it was time for the celebrities to unleash the fashionista within and despite the limitations due to the novel coronavirus, one still got to the best of Hollywood flaunting their style on the red carpet. 

The 78th Golden Globes Awards will be recognizing movies and television shows under various categories, which is being viewed in more than 210 territories. Amy Poehler

Returning to the show for the fourth time, the host May Poehler chose an all-black outfit for the night.

Jared Leto

Jared Leto seemed excited about tonight's went as he took to Twitter to give his fans an update on his appearance for the event. He wrote, "Just because we’re doing the #GoldenGlobes from home this year doesn’t mean I couldn’t get all dressed up for the camera. Don't miss the show TONIGHT at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC. @goldenglobes"



 

Josh O'Connor

Sharing a picture of 'The Crow' star Josh O'Connor, Golden Globes 2021 tweeted, "@JoshOConnor15 is taking The Crown with this #GoldenGlobes look!"



 

Amanda Seyfried 

Amanda Seyfried looked absolutely stunning in a backless gown as she prepped for the award ceremony. Golden Globes 2021 tweeted, "Step aside, Citizen Kane, there's a new Rosebud in town. @AmandaSeyfried's #GoldenGlobes gown gives homage to the famous sled, and we absolutely love it!"



 

Elle Fanning 

American actress Elle Fanning has all eyes on her during the Golden Globes 2021 as she stunned in a Gucci gown. She is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance as Catherine The Great. 



 

Andra Day 

Double nominee became the hot topic of discussion as she graced the Golden Globes red carpet in a backless gown. The tweet read, "#GoldenGlobes double-nominee @AndraDayMusic delivers a high note with this dress, and her red lip is a perfect finishing note."



 

Sarah Hyland 

For those of you who missed watching Haley on ABC's hit sitcom 'Modern Family', Sarah Hyland is one of the many celebrities gracing the Golden Globes 2021. The award ceremony tweeted, "Even though this year we have a much more muted Red Carpet, @Sarah_Hyland is helping to make this year stand out! #GoldenGlobes"



 

Jackon Lee and Satchel Lee

Spike Lee's children Jackson Lee and Satchel Lee are serving as the Golden Globes 2021 ambassadors. Introducing them on the red carpet, the award ceremony tweeted, "This year's #GoldenGlobes Ambassadors Jackson Lee and Satchel Lee have arrived, and these siblings are dressed to impress."



 

The official 2021 Golden Globe Awards was telecasted on February 28 at 8 pm ET and the pre-show was streamed live from the official @GoldenGlobes Twitter account and on the website goldenglobes.com at 6.30 pm ET.

Daniel Levy
