LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Last of Us' drew endless praise when it was released as a PlayStation 3 game in the summer of 2013. It became the fine definition of storytelling and the creators of the HBO series which premiered on January 15, 2023, are aiming for the same success mantra. Craig Mazin has returned after 'Chernobyl', which was a massive hit, to team up with none other than Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller, alongside Bellie Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy Miller, Nico Parker as Sarah Miller, and more.

Pedro Pascal has nailed almost every role he has played and the fans are more than satisfied to see him as Joel Miller in the first episode of the highly-anticipated HBO series. 'The Last of Us' explores what life is like after a viral outbreak has destroyed modern civilization. The first season consists of nine episodes written by Mazin and Neil Druckmann, who wrote and co-directed the original Playstation game. The showrunners have also confirmed that the series will be finite as Druckmann told, "I remember, early on, I asked Craig and HBO, “How many episodes does this season need to be,” And the answer was, “As many as the story requires, and no more," as Collider.
