ARMY rejoices as BTS V shares update on Jimin's recovery and discharge after surgery

While HYBE announced Jimin’s recovery from the surgery, fans still send well wishes for the singer as he battles Covid-19

The world of ARMYs just turned upside down last week as it was announced on January 30 that Jimin, the mochi of BTS was diagnosed with Covid-19. As if that was not all, it was also revealed that the 26-year-old singer was hospitalized for surgery due to acute appendicitis. The news of Jimin being unwell and in the hospital had millions of ARMYs tweeting about the issue constantly hoping for his quick recovery and just as fans would want it, HYBE has announced that Jimin was discharged from the hospital after recovering from his surgery.

On February 5, HYBE, the label that manages BTS reported that Jimin had successfully recovered from his acute appendicitis surgery and was discharged from the hospital. While he has also received an all-clear for his Covid-19 diagnosis as it reported that Jimin has tested negative for a PCR test conducted on the BTS member before discharge. HYBE announced that the singer had now been discharged from the hospital and was resting at home as he did not show any special symptoms during the hospitalization period.

BTS V shared a cute update on Jimin’s recovery

Since the news of Jimin being unwell dropped, fans have been constantly sending their prayers and best wishes to the singer on Twitter as well as Weverse, the official fan cafe of BTS members. On the night of February 4, before HYBE dropped the announcement of Jimin’s recovery, a fan took to Weverse to ask about Jimin’s wellbeing only to be met by a very emotional response from V (Taehyung) of BTS. V, who is also called Jimin’s ‘soulmate’, replied to the post. The fan asked, ‘Our chick is okay right?’ and as BTS fans are well aware, all BTS members are addressed using specific emoticons.

While Jimin represents the baby chicken emoticon, V represents the tiger, Jungkook represents the bunny, while J-Hope represents the squirrel, RM represents the koala, Jin represents the hamster and Suga represents the cat. After V saw the post where an ARMYs asked about Jimin’s health in code, he took it upon himself to respond to the fan. In his response, V said, ‘That chick said he watched the sky for seven hours, the sky was pretty today.’

Fans who have been extremely overjoyed by Jimin's recovery have started trending '#RestWellJimin' on Twitter as they send him best wishes.
