Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), on her mission to find her father Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan), not only witnesses the harsh and tumultuous world above ground but also starts to unearth the secrets hidden within the vaults.
Lucy and Maximus (Aaron Moten) accidentally find themselves inside a vault. What initially appears to be a safe space soon turns into a trap for Lucy MacLean as she explores Vault 4 in 'Fallout' Episode 6.
What's happening in Vault 4 in Prime Video's 'Fallout'?
Unlike other vaults, people in Vault 4 are mutated, with the majority having migrated from the surface. Lucy learns about the Vault's active involvement in rehabilitation on Earth, which met an unfortunate end following a massive bombing.
Just as Lucy starts to adapt to life in the new Vault, she is taken aback during a traditional ceremony.
As Birdie (Cherien Dabis) steps up for the ceremony, praying to bring back the dead, people undress and cover themselves in the ashes of people who died in Shady Sands and even drink blood.
Witnessing what seems like a form of dark magic, Lucy quickly realizes that it's a cult where Moldaver is worshipped. For the unaware, Moldaver is the one who kidnapped Lucy's father from Vault 33.

Ignoring the Overseer's warning against accessing Level 12 in Vault 4, Lucy's curiosity drives her to push forward.
Inside, she stumbles upon a secret laboratory conducting dubious experiments. She's confronted with a disturbing video of a woman giving birth to aquatic creatures that devour her.
Moreover, she observes massive containers potentially holding nuclear substances.
However, Lucy's investigation comes to an abrupt halt when she is spotted and forcefully apprehended by the vault's inhabitants.
With Lucy captured by the vault members who conduct lethal experiments on humans, her life hangs in the balance.
On the other hand, Maximus, Lucy's sole confidant in these challenging times, finds himself so enamored with the cozy lifestyle within the vault that he resists the idea of venturing out.
Instead, he prefers to lounge in his cabin, clad in a bathrobe, and indulge in delicious snacks.
However, it is just a matter of time before Maximus realizes that Lucy is missing and initiates a search for her.
With his power armor being retrieved from the surface by the vault members, he'll have to get a hold of his armor to save Lucy.
Meanwhile, Lucy is about to learn more about Moldaver and crack the mystery of her father's abduction.
